Dating Story: I Semi-date the Gay Guy Who I Thought Was a Serial Killer

By Grace Tzeng

*For the sake of privacy, I changed the man's name to Romeo.

When I first met Romeo, I thought he was straight.  He was about
5’ 7” and nearly 50 lbs. overweight.  He spoke with a low husky voice and he had a deep, hearty laugh.  He was funny, but he wasn’t my type physically.

During the first week we met, I thought Romeo was flirting when he spoke to me in Mandarin with the few words that he learned from a friend.  Although Romeo was not Chinese and I’m not fluent in Mandarin, I still understood him.

Shutterstock.  This is not Romeo.
He also sang to me with a song that had my name in the lyrics.  And I thought how romantic – he’s serenading me.  This guy likes me.  He wants me.

As we talked, he found out that

Seven Signs You’re in Love or Infatuated

By Grace Tzeng

Many years ago when I first started dating my ex-boyfriend, I couldn’t concentrate on food because I was constantly thinking about him.

And I tossed and turned in bed picking through every detail about what he had said to me, how he said it, what he wore, how his hands looked, everything.

Nowadays I’m not dating anyone.  So I get seven to eight hours of sleep and I wake up refreshed.

In regards to food, my stomach thanks me as I ate a plate of salad, half an Yves vegetarian-ham sandwich, orange juice, half a mango, and a scoop and a half of butter pecan ice cream.

Humor me and pretend
he's running around in my mind.
Is that what being in love or infatuation is like?  Unintentionally starving myself and creating bags under my eyes because some guy is running the treadmill of my mind?

Well apparently there are signs that one is in love.

In this Psychology Today.com Article thousands of happily married couples who have been married for 30 to 77 years on six continents of the world could vouch for the seven signs to indicate that a person is in love or infatuated.

Here are the signs.

Advice: Abusive Boyfriend Nearly Chokes Girlfriend

Disclaimer:  Miss Love is not a psychologist, psychiatrist or any other type of trained counselor.  She is merely a gal trying to apply common sense to relationship problems.  If you have a serious problem, please seek professional help.

To protect everyone's privacy, we used the initials C. H. for the woman's boyfriend.

Dear Miss Love,

My boyfriend C. H. and I have been going out for 4 and a half months.

A few weeks ago he got angry when I got off the phone with a girl friend of mine.  C. H. was suspicious and he thought I was talking with a guy friend that he’s jealous of.

I tried to reassure him that it wasn’t my guy friend.

C. H. thinks that my guy friend and I went out as boyfriend and girlfriend before.  I keep telling my boyfriend that we didn’t.

Then C. H. put his hand on my neck.  He didn’t choke me; he just put one hand on my neck.  He’s never laid a hand on me before.

One Third of One-Night Stands Lead to Long-Term Relationships

By Grace Tzeng

What shocked me most about the singles’ poll results in the USA Today article (written a few months ago) was that it said that 35% of one-night stands ended up being long-term relationships.
“Men, Women Flip the Script in Gender Expectation”

That’s scary; imagine shaking hands with a total stranger; then three hours later getting naked in front of him or her.  Creepy!

But apparently about a third of the people are jumping into bed.  After the sex, they begin dating and getting to know one another.

Movie Review: Orgasm Inc.

The Rating System:

Why did I waste $ on this movie?  I could have had a meal for the price I paid to see this in the theater.  Or thank God I checked it out of the library.
♥ ♥  It’s okay, but I’d tell others to go to the library to check it out.
♥ ♥ ♥  I loved it, and I would recommend it or give it as a gift to my movie buff friends.
